About the Zine Workshop Toolkit
Zine Workshop Toolkit is an information resource for educators, artists, librarians, and community organizers who want to lead engaging zine-making workshops. We provide step-by-step guides, printable templates, activity prompts, facilitation tips, and supply lists that make planning simple and sessions fun. Whether you’re hosting a beginner-friendly classroom project or a community drop-in, our materials help you create a welcoming space for self-expression, storytelling, and creative publishing. Who We Are

MLIS Capstone Student

fran is an MLIS Capstone student, graduating in Summer 2026. They have worked with children professionally as a teacher and caretaker, and intend to continue this work as a Children's Services Librarian or Elementary School Librarian. This project has taught them a lot about the importance of outreach, community support and feedback, as well as following the passion and interests of community members.

Willow Maloney

MLIS Capstone Student

Willow will graduate with their MLIS in Summer 2026. Their studies have centered around accessibility, knowledge organization, and services in public libraries. Their professional background is in social services for vulnerable adults as well as community supported agriculture. Completing this project has merged their interests in community art and library services.
